Constellation FURYK & FRIENDS presented by Circle K announces Champions Breakfast featuring Jack and Barbara Nicklaus

Jacksonville, Florida, August 9, 2022 – Tournament officials today announced the Constellation FURYK & FRIENDS Champions Breakfast will feature 18-time major champion Jack Nicklaus and his wife, Barbara Nicklaus, on the morning of Friday, October 7, before the opening round of the PGA TOUR Champions event. Other special guests will be announced between now and the start of the second annual tournament at Timuquana Country Club. In addition to a memorable and intimate program for guests of the breakfast that includes one of the greatest golfers to ever tee it up, those who purchase a table at the breakfast will also receive VIP access to the tournament in Club 58, an All-Inclusive Hospitality Suite located on the 17th hole.

The breakfast will provide unique networking and sponsorship opportunities for individuals and businesses alike. The Champions Breakfast is one of many hospitality and sponsorship options that support the tournament’s goal of generating more than $1 million for Northeast Florida Charities. Those interested in being a part of this incredible opportunity can email [email protected] or go to the tournament website at www.constellationfurykandfriends.com.

While Jack and Barbara did not attend the inaugural Constellation FURYK & FRIENDS, Jack and Barbara Nicklaus’ Play Yellow campaign did extend to the greater Jacksonville area through the event’s support of Wolfson Children’s Hospital, the charity of the day for the 2021 tournament’s opening round.

In support of the Play Yellow Campaign started by Jack and Barbara Nicklaus that supports local children’s hospitals, A.J. (Wolfson Children’s Hospital patient) hit the opening tee shot with tournament host Jim Furyk. In 2019, A.J. received uplifting news when doctors at Wolfson Children’s Hospital cleared the then 9-year-old Jacksonville boy to begin riding his bicycle again, a sign that his recovery from avascular necrosis (AVN) was proceeding well. Since then, A.J. had been working on his golf game and after a high-five from Michael Aubin, Wolfson Children’s Hospital President, Blinn hit a beautiful shot down the middle of the first fairway. Blinn’s shot, alongside Furyk’s marked the very first tee shots to kick off the inaugural Constellation FURYK & FRIENDS presented by Circle K.

“It was really special to share the honorary first tee shot with A.J., he is an inspiration to us all,” Furyk said.

The Champions Breakfast will once again offer a special opportunity to highlight local charities including Wolfson Children’s Hospital and you can expect to see Jack Nicklaus hitting this year’s honorary tee shot with another inspiring patient from our local hospital to kick off the 2022 Constellation FURYK & FRIENDS tournament.
