FOR THE KIDS

Designed as a family-friendly event, Constellation FURYK & FRIENDS has something for everyone, and with the youth ticket policy and complimentary spectator parking, a family or a youth organization can enjoy an incredible day at the tournament at a low cost. Once on site, families have a variety of entertainment options in addition to golf inside the ropes.

  • The Kids Zone featuring the Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens will be located between holes 6 and 7 near the Circle K ParTee Porch. In addition to interactive games and sensory activities for kids, the zoo will bring numerous animals for friendly encounters during the three days of competition.
  • Next to the Kids Zone is the air-conditioned Family Lounge presented by Wolfson Children’s Hospital, which is open to all fans and their families and includes complimentary WiFi, interactive games, a children’s coloring table, changing tables, stations for nursing mothers, and educational information. The lounge is attached to the tournament’s first aid station, also sponsored by Baptist Health.
  • Returning this year for families (and quite frankly all fans!) are the Circle K Frosters. These icy cold, fabulously flavored refreshments are the signature beverage offerings from Circle K and are available to fans at the Circle K ParTee Porch near the 7th green. While on the topic of sweet treats, Tikiz Shaved Ice & Ice Cream will be available near Circle K Partee Porch and serves the finest, fluffiest shaved ice (with sugar-free flavors available) as well as assorted ice cream bars, pops and frozen gourmet fruit sorbets.
  • Kids looking for an autograph from the game’s greatest legends can head to the Fisher Tousy Autograph Alley behind the 18th green, near the practice green where players finish their round.

COMPETITION: The Constellation FURYK & FRIENDS is shaping up to be a star-studded affair once again in 2023 as commitments continue to roll in from some of golf’s most accomplished players. A strong contingent of PGA TOUR and PGA TOUR Champions major winners including John Daly, Ernie Els, Jerry Kelly, Rocco Mediate, Colin Montgomerie, Davis Love III, and Mike Weir are all scheduled to tee it up at Timuquana Country Club.

Since bursting onto the golf scene with his surprise victory at the 1991 PGA Championship, Daly’s mammoth drives and colorful personality have made him a fan favorite for over 30 years. In addition to his PGA Championship win, Daly also took home the Claret Jug at the 1995 Open Championship at St. Andrews. He finished T7 this past week at the Sanford International and has played well at the Constellation FURYK & FRIENDS, with a T31 in 2021 and a T19 last year

Known as “The Big Easy” due to his smooth swing and six-foot three-inch frame, Els has enjoyed an accomplished career that includes 19 PGA TOUR wins and 47 international victories, including two U.S. Opens and two Open Championships. His success has continued since joining PGA TOUR Champions, where he has added three more wins and 41 top-10 finishes in 74 starts, including a T4 at the inaugural Constellation FURYK & FRIENDS.

Kelly hails from Wisconsin along with Constellation FURYK & FRIENDS defending champion Steve Stricker. After a solid three-win PGA TOUR career, Kelly has only gotten better with age, as two senior major championship wins at the Kaulig Companies Championship are among his 11 career PGA TOUR Champions titles. He’ll look to find the winner’s circle again at the Constellation FURYK & FRIENDS, where he logged a T7 finish in 2022.

The affable Mediate is best known for going toe-to-toe with Tiger Woods at the 2008 U.S. Open at Torrey Pines. While that major championship victory wasn’t in the cards for Mediate, he did go on to win the 2016 Senior PGA Championship as one of his four PGA TOUR Champions titles. He’ll look to improve on a T30 result at last year’s Constellation FURYK & FRIENDS.

The pride of Scotland, Montgomerie accumulated 42 international wins on his way to being inducted into the World Golf Fame in 2013. The eight-time DP World Tour Order of Merit winner was also a Ryder Cup stalwart for the European team, making eight appearances as a player and captaining the victorious 2010 team.  After close calls at numerous major championships throughout his career, he finally broke through on PGA TOUR Champions with two Senior PGA Championship wins and a U.S. Senior Open title. Montgomerie is in good form with top-10 finishes in two of his last three events as he looks to add to his tally of seven career PGA TOUR Champions victories at this year’s Constellation FURYK & FRIENDS.

The son of a PGA Professional, Love III had a memorable and emotional major championship win at the 1997 PGA Championship. His 21 career PGA TOUR victories also included wins at the 1992 and 2003 PLAYERS Championship. After competing as a player six times in each event, Love III captained the 2016 U.S. Ryder Cup team and 2022 U.S. Presidents Cup team to convincing wins. The St. Simons Island resident has an affinity for Timuquana Country Club, logging T11 and T7 finishes in the first two editions of the Constellation FURYK & FRIENDS.

In 2003, Weir became the first left-handed player to win The Masters, prevailing in a playoff over Jacksonville resident Len Mattiace. A native of Canada, Weir will captain the 2024 Presidents Cup international team when they square off against Constellation FURYK & FRIENDS host and U.S. team captain Jim Furyk in Montreal. The eight-time PGA TOUR winner will be looking for his second career PGA TOUR Champions victory when he tees it up at this year’s Constellation FURYK & FRIENDS.
